How to translate category names?

Post by cnoelker » 20 Nov 2018, 11:40

Hello,
I can create a new (sub-)category. But I would like the category to have different names, according to the language of the customer. While creating a category, I read the following for Label:
"Internal category name, will be used on the web site if no name for the language is available."

Where can I translate the names for the languages? Do I have to enter a translation depending on Type or on Label?

You can add the translated name in the "Text" tab of each category if you choose "name" as type

Thank you. Is the label needed for anything? It's an optional field, so I just wonder if this is useful at all.

The label is used if you don't add a "name" text for the category and in the admin interface
