Price variation

Hello, We have seen date settings into price settings.
So, if we set two price as per time start and end. Then it is sometime looks like working and sometime it keep returning old price.

Can you please confirm about functionality and how that is working? We are bit confused cause of price not coming right sometime.

If you enter a start and end date for a price, these price is used in that time frame. If the price overlaps with another price in that time frame, the lowest price of both is used.
