PWA?

Post by antonlinderer » 17 Nov 2017, 08:59

I wonder whether there is a plan to implement a PWA as magento is going into that direction:

Aimeos already offers a full-featured JSON REST API for headless shops. If you use it on a web site, in a single page applicaton or a progressive web app is up to you.

Does Aimeos has any extension or plugin for turning a website into a progressive web app, like Bagisto does? Having a plugin makes it easier to create PWA. Otherwise it would require hours of code work and testing.

We are currently working on a PWA based on Vue.js and Nuxt.js that will be easy to adapt and extend but it's not ready yet. More details are available in this topic: laravel-package-f18/aimeos-vs-bagisto-a ... t2249.html

Bagisto PWA is non-free and pretty basic. The Aimeos one will be free of charge and support the full feature set of Aimeos including market place and B2B setups.
