Attribute price has no effect

Post by Moritz » 27 Mar 2019, 13:20

Hello,

My goal is to change the price of many products at a central place.
For that I've created a attribute and set a price item to it.
All my product get this attribute but the price of the product aren't change in the catalog detail or in the basket.

Grettings,

Nobody used it that way up to now :-)
You can try to add a hidden attribute to all your products with a price. That one is at least used for calculation in the basket. For the list/detail page, you have to adapt the template to the show the sum of the product and attribute price.

One downside of this approach will be that you won't get the expected result when you sort the product list by price.

Is there a possibility to do that only in the price partial template?
Because it is not enough to sum the price in the detail and list template only.
I should adapt every template which uses the price partial (last seen, favourites etc.).
My first idea was trying to access the product item inside the price partial but I found no way to do that.

Aimeos' data structures allow you to share prices between products but the admin interface creates new ones for each product. Maybe it's easier to modifiy the product price sub-panel to enable sharing prices.

I've only a group of products for which I want to change the price at a central place.
For all other products it is ok to create a new price item.
I don't know if adapting the price sub-panel is the solution for me because the affected products are being imported in CSV format.
