Seems like you will have the choice between two SPA frontends based on Vue.js next year.
A company from Barcelona build their shops using Aimeos and Vue Storefront and they plan to release their integration code.

We've decided to build a PWA together with other interested parties that isn't specific for Aimeos so it can be used in a greater context. Thus, the project takes longer than expected but will be much better at the end :-)
