[Solved] Why is there a "delivery" section in the basket template?

Post by rowild » 09 Nov 2020, 11:55

Hi!

I thought that choosing a delivery option is part of the checkout process (step 3, I think). But now I discover that there is a "delivery" section in the basket. Why is that so? When does it come into action? And how must a product (or anything else?) be configured, so that a delivery option actually shows in the basket?

Thank you!

The basket itself only shows the shipping costs which are either added by the Autofill plugin, the shipping costs per item or by the user who already stepped though the checkout process till the summary page and then jumped back. There's no other delivery section in the basket.

OK, I didn't understand that delivery and payment can show up, too, once a customer reached those checkout steps, but goes back again.

Thank you!
