I want to confirm whether the email is being sent properly or not.
Where do I need to set the configuration for sending email like sendfrom email, SMTP details etc.

Emails Like Customer welcome email - login credentials, order Email, payment emails etc.

Add them to your .env file and have a look into ./config/mail.php for all configuration options.
