Categorytree not showing newly added categories

Hello,

when using the categorytree plugin, and trying to adjust from which category-level to display onwards, the select-box is plain empty, and we can't select the starting category. The standardised categories were shown, but as we removed them and added our own, those are not listed within.

What is the content of your mshop_catalog table now?

Your table content looks fine and also an Aimeos standard setup shows the categories like expected.
Can you please execute the Aimeos Update Wizard in the TYPO3 "Upgrade" panel to be sure your database structure is up to date? Also verify that the Update Wizard finishes successfully.

When trying to update the database through the update wizard, we were prompted with an error, huge error, so rather pasted it on pastebin than spamming the entire thread - any idea? https://pastebin.com/4vwzE9Kr

Please update to Aimeos 22.10.3 which fixes the problem and run the Upgrade Wizard again

however, during the update the standard categories were re-added, and are now shown in the category tree where we need our categories to be, but ours are still not listed in there.

Except for in the catalog -> categories tree, there we see our categories, but not the default ones.

You have to remove the demo categories again.
If in the TYPO3 Settings panel "Extensions configuration > aimeos > Update demo data" is "No action" (should be default now), the Aimeos demo data isn't added again next time.

Addendum: Do you use more than one site in the Aimeos backend?

I use just one site. The default one is still there, but not active.
After deleting the demo categories, the categorytree plugin is empty again.
