Attribute importer xml location

Is it intentional that the XML file for the attribute importer is expected directly inside the folder configured as location (/attribute/), while other importers (e.g., supplier) expect their files inside a site-specific subdirectory like /supplier/default/?
In my setup, the attribute importer only works when the file is placed directly in the attribute directory, not in attribute/default.

You are right, this is a bug. Unfortunately, it exists since 2024.x so we can't change it in the current 2025.10 LTS release. Instead, the fix will go into 2026+ releases.
