That's mainly a storage issue. If you use ElasticSearch (supported by the ai-elastic extension) for storing products, you can build a distributed e-commerce application with very fast response times all over the world.

The main problem to get things even faster is the relational database for storing the non-product data. Aimeos supports Yugabyte as distributed RDBMS but it needs some special care during setup because it is missing one feature for complete database schema updates yet.
