Aimeos 2026.10 gives teams new ways to maintain catalogs, create content, and exchange business data. MCP tools connect AI assistants to shop administration, while WebMCP helps compatible browser assistants work with storefront forms. Prisma adds a choice of AI providers for content creation. The release also includes flexible imports and exports and supports Laravel 13, Symfony 8, and TYPO3 14.

AI agents for administration and shopping

The new ai-admin-mcp extension provides Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools for products, categories, orders, customers, stock, and other shop data. Depending on the domain, assistants can search records, aggregate data, save changes, and manage category trees. Each tool validates arguments and checks Aimeos permissions. Developers connect the tools to their chosen MCP server runtime and select which capabilities to expose.

An integrated assistant could help a merchant find products and update their descriptions, using the permissions granted to it.

On the storefront, WebMCP annotations help compatible browser agents discover forms for updating billing and delivery addresses, saving baskets, applying coupons, and changing product-watch settings. Descriptive names and input information explain each action; browser and agent support is required.

One AI integration, more choice with Prisma

Write product descriptions, translate content, generate images, and remove backgrounds from the administration interface. Aimeos 2026.10 brings these operations together through Prisma, which connects Aimeos to different AI providers.

Teams can choose a provider and model for each task, selecting suitable services for text and image work through one integration. Available operations depend on the chosen provider and model.

Merchants can prepare catalog content in one place, while developers maintain less code for individual AI services. This makes it easier to adapt the shop's AI setup as project needs change.

Easier imports and exports

Aimeos 2026.10 carries forward the 2026 data-management improvements. Customer CSV imports run through admin uploads or background jobs. They support addresses, properties, field validation, and controlled customer group assignments.

Customer, product, category, and supplier imports can combine file values with configured values, reducing repetitive columns in source files.

Developers can also add project-specific information to order, product, and subscription exports before the files are generated. This helps deliver the data ERP, CRM, and other business systems need.

Support for Laravel 13, Symfony 8, and TYPO3 14

laravel6

The 2026.10 integrations support Laravel 13, Symfony 8, and TYPO3 14. Laravel 10–12 and Symfony 7 remain supported.

Teams can plan upgrades around their application's needs and deployment environment, ensuring PHP and other dependencies meet the requirements of their chosen framework or CMS.

Looking ahead to 2027.x: exploring Markdown workflows

For teams planning their 2027.x content workflows, Markdown offers a practical way to move formatted text between the shop, external editors, and AI services. Its compact syntax preserves familiar structures such as headings, lists, and links.

The groundwork is already available through an optional CKEditor Markdown plugin in the administration interface, disabled by default. Teams can try it now to assess how Markdown fits their content tools and publishing workflow.
